The Dreamland Range
Dreamland is probably the UK's best known and most loved electric blanket brand.
There are several types of electric blanket available but generally they fit into two distinct types. Essentially you either lie on top of the electric blanket or underneath it.
The ones that you lie on top of come in two styles, either an ELECTRIC UNDERBLANKET, which you place directly on to your mattress and secure it with the ties provided or a HEATED MATTRESS COVER which has an elasticated side skirt and fits on to your mattress like a fitted sheet.
The ones that you lie under also come in two styles, either a traditional ELECTRIC OVERBLANKET which is used in the same way as a traditional blanket and placed between a sheet and a bedspread or a ELECTRICALLY HEATED DUVET which you place inside your usual duvet cover in place of a normal duvet.
Dreamland Electric blankets have numerous safety features to ensure that they never overheat so that you can use them with complete peace of mind.
They all require a standard 13 amp socket to be near to the bed they will be used on and have handset controllers to allow you to set your preferred temperature settings.
Single sized ones have just a single handset but ones designed for beds with two occupants can have single controls or dual controls dependent on the model. Single controls mean that the electric blanket is the same temperature on both sides wheras dual controls allow different settings on each side.
These handset controls can usually be removed to allow the blanket to be machine washed.
There is also an ELECTRIC HEATED THROW and HEATED PAD available.
